Perhaps the text message about your monthly bundle expiring relates to an add-on that you bought previously and not your membership?
Can you clarify what exactly the text message said and what your My48 account says about your membership and add-on status?
In relation to your hotspot please explain what you tried?
I.e. the exact steps that you tried to get it working.
Is your data working otherwise when out and about?
