Can I get the moving code text sent in less than a 160 character text. My phone is old and can only deal with 1 message and the code is getting cut off by the 160 limit  any work around out there  can I find the code somewhere?

You mean the text with the porting security code?

I thought that this was a lot shorter than 160 characters?

Or is not?

Or are you talking about some other code/text?

If necessary contact 48 support for help:

Hope this helps.

The actual code is turncated, short a few numbers at the end of the message. I have tried it on 3 different hand sets and the result is the same. All the handsets are old simple nokia type phones that can only deal with 1 message at a time.  A pain!!!

I see. I can't remember what the porting code SMS looks like and didn't realise that it seems to span more than a single message. Can you borrow a more modern phone (unlocked or locked to your old network) to allow you to receive the whole message/code? If not then you might need to contact support about this as I suggested above. Good luck.

On your advice I have contacted 48 support last night so I will let you know how that goes.

I will have to get a 02 handset somewhere (smartphone)

Thanks

OK - good luck. A phone locked to O2 OR an unlocked phone will do it.

I'm surprised that your phones can't seem to handle multipart/concatenated SMS messages - my recollection is that even my ancient Nokias were able to receive them - possibly one at a time and not reassembled. But maybe I'm mistaken...
