recieving calls & text from EU country

Hello there!

I have some questions about recieving calls and text from an EU country:

  1. I have to pay to recieve calls or text when I am in Ireland?
  2. What number the person who's calling to me have to dial? For exemple, if my number is 081 111 1111 he have to dial +35 081 111 1111   or +35 81 111 1111 or what else?

thank you for your help!

Sorry - that was a typo alright (my own number is 087 so I just typed it automtically...). Man Indifferent

Just to clarify ... if your number is 0891234567 then the caller dials +353891234567!

I've edited my post above to correct the typo.

I don't think that this answers the original poster's questions. They're asking about receiving calls/texts from an international number while they themselves are in Ireland/not roaming.

Hi dayler, thanks a lot!

You wrote: ""If your number is, say, 0891234567 then the person should call +353871234567 ..."

what about the 9 become a 7 (I mean the third number)? It's just a misspelling right?

Question solved!

Thank you very much dayler

Glad it helped.

The caller might want to check the charges at their end for such calls/texts as they may be expensive and there may be more cost effective alternatives - e.g. Skype etc.

You don't pay anything to receive calls/texts from international numbers while in Ireland/not roaming. The caller/sender pays.

If your number is, say, 0891234567 then the person should call +353891234567 where + is the international dial out prefix for their country (e.g. 00 when calling from an EU country):
