I got an xperia z, settings for xperia phones on this won't work, I also had to order a smaller sim card and it won't register online. My phone is unlocked and when searching networks it comes up 48 2g and 48 3g, is there different setting's for this type of phone

If you wanted a smaller SIM card to replace your current one but still on the same account/membership/number etc. then you don't register the new smaller SIM - you have to contact 48 support to get them to switch your account over to the new SIM. See here:

There are not different settings for 2G and 3G.

What if it's a 4G network

 

Huh?

 

I would assume by your post above, it's not 48 your query is related to...

 

48 is not running 4G...when 02 run 4G, 48 will also.

 

If your query refers to a 4G enabled Handset however - installing a 3G Sim in a 4G enabled handset is fine simply that... (3G)

 

If you wish to elaborate more perhaps somone can reply with more certinty...

Ok So I downloaded the Apn App.

Put in all the setting details,  but it still cant send messages or call people.it says on mobile settings i am registered to 48 but phone not working

Have you any signal bars showing on screen?

Have you performed a power cycle?

Have you Data Roaming enabled? 

Have you purchased membership?

Can other's call/text you?

I Have a full bar of reception but it says no service..  when I go into network operators it says im registered on 48.  I have my membership paid.  I always had this number I just ordered a new sim for my phone as needed smaller sim card.   I went through and registered the sim and added all the settings,  I downlaoded the apn app, added those details and still nothing,  I cant receive or call , cant send or receive messages.  I can only use wifi

If you registered the new SIM rather than getting 48 support to port your existing number/account over to it then I suspect that you got a new account/number etc. I think that's what 1amcn is getting at above too.
