My phone won't get any signal and it says searching? Is there a problem?

My phone keeps saying searching and won't get any signal.. All day..? Is there a problem with my phone or 48?

Was it working before now?

If so did anything change - e.g. software update, sync with iTunes etc.?

If you manually search for networks what ones do you see?

If you see 48 (or O2 if 48 is not listed) can you connect?

Have you tried powering off and on again?

And maybe also reseating the SIM card in case it got slightly dislodged?
