Can I check if a phone I'm going to buy is blacklisted first?

There seem to be a few IMEI blacklist checkers online but I don't know if any of them are guaranteed to be authoritative. Better to buy from a reputable seller to protect yourself against getting a dodgy phone.

I got lost in the many tangent's that the Blacklisting process took when i took a dive into it ... it appear's to contradict the reason for wanting to utilize the process in the first place... no definitive answer!

I would never dream of purchasing a used handset there are too many reason's to list,as to why it's a bad idea to buy from a private source...
