SIM won't work in new Doro or Samsung Galaxy phones

I've just renewed my membership (was about 1 month without using) and have inserted Sim into new Android (doro) phone but it is not recognized. It says no Sim inserted. Same when I insert into Galaxy phone. Does this mean it's been deactivated by 48? Any help appreciated.

48 would only deactivate your SIM if you didn't buy membership for 6+ months.

If you can log into your My48 account and don't get any message about deactivation then it should be fine.

However if it's an old SIM then it may not be compatible with some newer phones that require a class C/1.8 volt SIM.

Does the SIM work in any phone at all?

Are both phones unlocked for use on any network?

What are the model details of the Doro and Samsung Galaxy phones?

Some Doro phones are 2G only and may not work with a 4G or 5G SIM.

Might be no harm in ordering a replacement and trying that.

If you need to contact 48 support about this then see the links in my signature below.

I am not a 48 employee - if you need to contact 48 support you can do so by chat, email (support@48months.zendesk.com) or phone.

Thanks this is really helpful. I have ordered a replacement Sim to try. Both phones are unlocked, they are Samsung 23 and doro 8100, so fairly new. I will try on the old apple 8 iphone (which worked before) when I can get hold of it. If not I'm sure the replacement Sim should be ok
