Roaming won’t work

Good morning, I have noticed I’ve been abroad a couple of times now and my roaming doesn’t work. I’ve been to the UK last August and it didn’t work. I’m going to France next month and I need my phone. Can you help? I have never had problems before with a provider just turn on my phone and it automatically switches over

Unfortunately many people still seem to have problems when trying to use roaming services for some reason and nobody from 48 has ever explained why or provided a guaranteed fix.

As such, the usual generic advice for roaming issues applies...

If your SIM predates January 2023 then maybe get a replacement in case it helps with roaming issues:

If I was you I would have a plan B prepared just in case - e.g. getting a local SIM for the trip or something like that.
