My phone got locked

When i restarted my i phone, it showed up to enter my sim lock, but i forgot that ignored the pop up msg to enter the same code and started my phone. Now my sim is locked and i tried restarting my phone again and entered the correct sim pin. But it’s showing wrong pin. What should I do?

Enter the wrong SIM PIN three times and then use your PUK to gain access again maybe?
