You should log a support query so if you haven't done so already:
http://help.48months.ie/requests/new
It may be a problem with your SIM that necessitates getting a replacement. You can do that here:
http://48months.ie/help/losthandset
but that will disable your existing SIM immediately leaving you offline until the new one arrives.
Alternatively get a free new SIM:
and when it arrives DON'T register/activate it but instead log a support request asking 48 if they can activate it on your existing account/number.

Ah - I'm just speculating as to what might be wrong - and I could be completely off track! 🙂 Best to test a bit more as you say and maybe log a support query anyway to get 48 on the case.

Are you sure that this isn't a handset rather than a network issue?
Can you try another handset with your 48 SIM to see if it's a handset issue?
