No service in Portugal on iPhone 5???

I have no service on my iPhone 5 in Portugal yet my girlfriend has service on her iPhone 4 and we are both with 48...why is this???

Hey Mick

 

If you have an iPhone you might have difficulty getting connected when abroad.

 

There is a known issue with using iPhones abroad right now. We have two solutions below and if you follow them you will get connected.

 

1 - Can you disable 3G/4G on your handset and try connecting to a network.

 

2 - If above fails, go to the Settings/Phone/SIM Applications and select When Abroad/Network Selection/Manual/International - Roaming profile. Then search manually for a network and try to connect.

Had the identical same issue last week and also last January.

Terrible service losing m roaming purchases each time. I'm off to UK in morning more frustration.

Seems to be an iPhone issue.

Never had anything like this with Android.
