LTE support? Concerned about a phone purchase.

Hey,

I'm posting this message with concerns about purchasing an unlocked phone to work with the go conquer network. The nexus 5 is due to be realeased soon and I was think about getting it for christmass. The concern I have is about the networks LTE-support (4G) and my question is; If the network does not support LTE, will the mobile internet work eitherway? Does the network support LTE? and if not, does the network have plans to implement it?

Hope to hear from you's soon, and I hope its good news as I've been really excited about the nexus 5's release...

Donal

Hi

To answer your question - since 48 roams on the 02 network it would have to be used by 02 in the first instance - trials have been taking place though.

now that o2 is three, which network does 48 use? three? does that mean 48 now supports LTE like three does?

No.

Can I get 4G?

Not at the moment, but it’s something we’re looking into for the future.

I heard former O2 customers are getting 4G. Why can’t 48 customers have it?

Well 48 is different to O2 and Three and 4G just isn’t part of our plans – yet. It’s something we’re looking into for the future

I am not a 48 employee - if you need to contact 48 support you can do so by chat, email (support@48months.zendesk.com) or phone.
