What happens when you manually scan for networks?

Can you see and connect to 48?

Is that the actual message or is it something else?

Can you post a screenshot or at least a more detailed description of any error messages and where exactly they appear on screen?

 

Can you try your SIM in another unlocked phone?

Are you sure that it's not simply looking for the SIM PIN[1]?

 

I forgot my PIN

 

Did you do a software update at any stage?

Were you using the 48 SIM while in the USA?

If not then how long has your 48 SIM been idle?

I set it manual but still says no service

Ye i was using my sim i USA, i did'n do any updates i try sim on other phone ant its working

Can you post a screenshot of what happens when try the SIM in your phone?

Is it an iPhone (I just assumed so because you seem to be posting from one but maybe I'm wrong)?

Can you try putting a small amount of cash credit on your account and then powering the phone off and on again and maybe syncing with iTunes? 

The reason for this is that an iPhone may need reactivation on the network and this can require it to automatically send a once off UK SMS which costs 25c.
