I am in South Africa and have paid for my roaming add ons but have no service?

48 do not support roaming in Africa unfortuantely - just Europe, North America and Oceania (Oz/NZ):

And the roaming add-ons are specifically for the EU in any case so there's no point in buying them when travelling outside of the EU:

All I can suggest is getting to a wifi hotspot and using Skype or some other internet based comms mechanism/app...
