As far as i know, Luke, 4G has only been in the country like a week?

I haven't heard anything so far of 48 moving on this, but keep your eyes peeled, as it shouldnt be too long!

Since 48 is an MVNO (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_virtual_network_operator) operating on the O2 network (although I believe that they also have some of their own equipment in some cells?) I'd imagine that the first step would be for O2 to roll 4G out before 48 might be in a position to even consider offering similar services. At the moment O2 are only about to trial 4G in specific areas:

http://siliconrepublic.com/comms/item/34096-o2-to-begin-trialling-4g-in

And this article says that it may be 2014 before they roll out services:

http://www.independent.ie/business/technology/vodafone-to-launch-4g-mobile-phone-services-next-month...

I wouldn't expect 4G on 48 any time soon but maybe somebody from 48 can clarify the scheduled roll out?

Hope this helps.

Oh - and I just noticed the title of the thread - the Vodafone Smart 3/Alcatel V975 handset does not support 4G/LTE.
