I stopped using the app a long time ago because of repeated issues with it at the time and because you can do almost everything on the website anyway.

What exactly do you mean "can never get anywhere"?
You mean that you can't get in contact with them or you can but they don't help you?
As I say, in my own experience it's better to ditch the app and just use the website.
I think that there's only one thing that the app can do that the website can't - Flexi Data sharing with contacts.
And if both parties are on the unlimited mobile data €12.99 plan then that's of little use anyway.
