Have you tried the suggestions linked from here?
I followed all the steps in the troubleshooting guide multiple times but roaming NEVER works for me abroad. I get the error: You have lost data connectivity because you left your home network with data roaming turned off.
Anybody knows how to solve this?

My son was up north this week and nothing worked for him but he wasn't aware of this link...
