I just bought my plan and it hasn't started working. Friends telling me to wait a day or two but I'm sure it is supposed to start the second you've purchased it. I don't know what I did wrong but I am using the same phone number I've always been using and am with lycamobile but I am sure i have left it. I don't know anymore.

It should start immediately assuming that you don't have an existing membership plan in place in which case the new one will only start when the current one eventually expires.
What does your My48 account Dashboard say about your current membership plan status and expiry date?
What does your Transactions page say about your recent purchase?
Is your usual phone number listed on your My48 account or is it a new 089 number?
Did you port your number over from Lycamobile?
Did you successfully activate your SIM?
Is this your first plan or have you been using 48 before now?
Do you have a connection to the 48 network i.e. signal bars?
Can you receive calls and texts on the number listed on your account?
If you need to contact 48 support about this then see the links in my signature below.

I bought data off from Lycamobile not too long ago, it might be because of that? I finished it earlier than intended as well - it was supposed to last for a month but I used it up in that timeframe.
Other than that..
1) My dashbo0ard says i have unlimited data and will renew on the 31st of September. I am new to 48 network plan so I get the two month bonus plan. It also says I haven't used any data at all.
2) It says I have bought the " New unlimited data €12.99 plan + Activation fee ". It was about €25.98
3) My usual phone number is enlisted with this network plan yes.
4) I think i ported my number from Lycamobile? I don't really know- All i know is I have been using Lycamobile until now.
5) I got an email saying I successfully activated my sim but it hasn't worked at all- hence why I posted bout needing help.
This is my first plan, yes. So nothing familiar to me.
I don't have connection to the 48 network plan, i don't have the signal bars.
I can receive calls yes.

> I bought data off from Lycamobile not too long ago, it might be because of that?
What you did with Lycamobile has nothing to do with what happens here on 48 so that's irrelevant as far as I can see.
> 1) My dashbo0ard says i have unlimited data and will renew on the 31st of September.
That doesn't make sense to me as today is 1st October so that date is in the past.
> 3) My usual phone number is enlisted with this network plan yes.
> 4) I think i ported my number from Lycamobile? I don't really know
This means that your number has been ported over from Lycamobile.
> 5) I got an email saying I successfully activated my sim but it hasn't worked at all-
What do you mean by "hasn't worked at all"?
> I don't have connection to the 48 network plan, i don't have the signal bars.

This doesn't make sense.
You cannot receive calls if you don't have a connection to the 48 network i.e. signal bars.
You'll probably have to contact 48 support as I previously suggested.
