Did I pick up 5G?

I did a speed test in Dublin. It clocked my iPhone 12 at 110Mbps and upload at 28Mbps. How is this possible? Did I connect to 5G? (My WiFi was off, by the way)

I'm pretty sure that 48 still don't offer 5G.

Did you get a 5G icon in your status bar?

How exactly were you testing the speed?

4G/LTE is at least theoretically capable of 300Mbps down and 75Mbps up.

Oh, maybe 5G is available on 48 now?

You'll be using 3G,4G or 5G (sometimes 2G) depending on the service you're using. This depends on where you are in a mobile operator's coverage area, and some of the factors below."

No my status bar showed LTE, not 5G

If you didn't get a 5G icon then you're probably not on 5G after all.

I would double check with another speed testing utility such as Ookla's Speedtest - ideally the app rather than the web page.
