APN gets overridden in Portugal

When I get to Portugal my data settings (that I've setup in Ireland according with the suggestions in this forum) get overridden and I can't use data.

It also won't allow me to add a new APN and I'm stuck with "Proximus Internet" which APN is "event.proximus.be"

Anyone is experiencing this too and any suggestions to fix this?

This used to happen in the past but I haven't seen (m)any reports of it more recently.

Maybe there's something useful here?
