If you are facing issues connecting to the internet, please follow the steps below:

  1. Make sure that your plan is active, and you have a data allowance through your plan or a data add-on. You can check this in your My48 Account here.
  2. Check and update your APN settings: Having the correct APN (Access Point Name) settings will help you to connect to the internet. Check out our detailed guide here on how to check and update APN settings. Ensure that you fill in the settings exactly the same as mentioned in the guide.
  3. Even after updating the settings as mentioned in the guide, if you’re still unable to connect to the internet, contact 48 Care Team for assistance here

A note about personal hotspot setup on iPhones

Once you have your internet APN set up and data/internet access working, you can also use this connection as part of a personal hotspot (this will probably use up your data allowance more quickly than "normal" internet access, so keep an eye on your allowance and make sure that you don't breach the fair usage limits).

For android devices, once you have updated the APN settings correctly you should be able to use the hotspot.

For iOS devices, some people find that their iPhone do not show the personal hotspot option, in which case you might need to need to update the APN settings under the hot spot section. View our guide on how to set up hotspot for more details

The following third-party video also might be helpful to check and update the hotspot APN settings for iOS devices:
