Unable to contact an agent

Any time I press the icon to try and contact an agent it says error, connection unavailable. I know this is not true as my WiFi is completely stable. As a result, I can’t proceed with resolving my query

The chat button often doesn't even appear, like now.

It hasn't worked for me for years. 

I just use email instead.
