No network/service all of the sudden

Hi I'm living in Ireland my phone was working fine and then it just stopped ive cleaned my sim turned on and off handset checked my apn setting s and can't find 48 when I search for network? Can anyone help me with this

Strange. 

Did anything change on the phone prior to this? 

E.g. software update etc.?

Can you try your SIM in another unlocked phone to see if it works there? 

Perhaps the SIM has failed and you need a replacement?
