Sim not supported

Hi - I moved my sim from an Iphone 7 (broken) to an Iphone 6S and it is saying the SIM is not supported.

Does anyone know what I have to do to get it working in the iPhone 6S? 

Do I reorder a new SIM?

Are you sure that the new phone is unlocked for use on any network?

If not then you need to get it unlocked before you can use it on 48.
