My sim is not connecting to the 48 network. phone signal is showing 3 of 4 bars of reception (emergency cals only) but phone will not ring or text in or out. I tried

  • restarting
  • automatic selection of network
  • manual selection - two choices for 48 but will not connect to either. Vodaphone and meteor won't allow me to connect

 

  • Phone is not in airplane mode and I'm in Ireland after a week away where I could only get talk and text but no data

 

Phone says it is not registered on network. Do I need a new sim

Get into your SIM toolkit then into when abroad and select set network selection to manual, this worked on my android phone, was out for over a day last Thursday
