I got a replacement iPhone SE 2021 from my insurance but the simcard from my old phone won't work on the new iPhone. What must I do to register the new phone on my old SIM card?

What happens?
Any error messages?
Could it be the usual Apple iPhone activation nonsense?
I.e. where, on a network such as 48 that Apple doesn't consider "official", the iPhone needs to silently send an SMS message to a UK activation server and that will fail unless there's cash credit on your 48 account to pay the 8c for the international text to the UK?
Maybe stick €1 cash credit on your account, turn the iPhone off and on again and see if it starts working and allows you to get a connection to the 48 network?
If that's not it then please post more details about the problem.
