I bough add on and a text message still won’t send

You mean that you bought a text add-on?

Why do you need an add-on?

Did you actually use up the 5,000 texts bundled with the €12.99 membership plan? 

Texts to Irish mobile numbers and Irish landline numbers while in the Republic of Ireland and texts made while roaming in EU to other EU numbers and back to Republic of Ireland are subject to a limit of 5,000 texts per monthly plan.

That would be an average of almost 7 SMS messages for every hour of the membership plan month!

What happens when you try to send a text - any error messages?

An add-on will only work if you also have an active membership plan. Do you have an active membership plan?

What sort of number are you trying to text to?

If it's an international number then you need cash credit to pay for it:

If it's a premium SMS 5xxxx number then 48 don't allow texts to be sent to such numbers:
