Did you try powering it off and on again?
What if you manually scan for and connect to 48 (or O2 if 48 is not listed)?
What does your online account say about your membership status and expiry date?

It was not clear from your post that this was a problem earlier which had since resolved itself.
For what it's worth I noticed no problems with service this morning but you don't clarify the exact timeframe.
I also assumed that you might have wifi or computer access because you were posting here so you could contact 48 support that way.
