You need cash credit on your account to cover the cost of international texts (25c each) and calls (50c per minute to Europe including France). MMS messages to international descinations are not supported. Membership/add-on allowances do not cover these and they are always charged from your cash credit balance.
Other call charges
Don't forget to use the correct prefixes also - e.g. 00 33 <number> for France.
