Hi,
Does anyone know if it costs to receive picture messages. I can access the internet but can't receive picture messages.
Thanks

It costs 30c charged from your cash credit balance to send an MMS.
It costs nothing to receive them.
If you cannot receive them then your APN/MMS settings are probably not correct.
If you are on Android try the Tweakker APN app to configure the APN settings for internet and MMS use.
If it still doesn't work then post your settings here for review/comment.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
Thanks a million for the reply. I have two profiles under APNs. The first is:
Name: 48 months
APN: 48months.liffeytelecom.com
MMSC: http://10.1.11.68/servlets/mms
MMS proxy: 10.1.11.19
MMS Port: 8080
MCC: 272
MNC: 11
APN Type: default
The second (which does not have the green dot beside it) is:
Name: 48 months mms
APN: 48months.liffeytelecom.com
MMSC: http://10.1.11.68/servlets/mms
MMS proxy: 10.1.11.19
MMS Port: 8080
MCC: 272
MNC: 11
APN Type: mms
Thanks,
Amy

Was it the online configurator or Tweakker APN app that configured these two APNs?
I normally just use on that works for both internet and MMS rather than having two separate APNs.
I have found that sometimes the APN type and Authentication type settings can vary and what works for one phone/person may not work for others. I don't understand why.
These settings work for me:
Name: 48 Months
APN: 48months.liffeytelecom.com
Proxy: Not set
Port: Not set
Username: Not set
Password: Not set
Server: Not set
MMSC: http://mmc1/servlets/mms
MMS proxy: 10.1.11.19
MMS port: 8080
MCC: 272
MNC: 11
Authentication type: None
APN type: default,mms,supl
APN protocol: IPv4
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
APN enable/disable: enabled
One thing you could try is deleting both APNs that are currently configured and configuring one using the above settings.
Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for your help. Unfortunately I haven't been able to set up mms correctly so I must be doing something wrong. I'm upgrading my phone soon so will try to set up the new phone using the Tweakker app.
Thanks again for all of your help,
Amy

Did you try using a single APN with my settings above for both internet and MMS?
What sort of phone do you have right now?
How did you end up with two separate APNs - one for internet and one for MMS?
Hope this helps.
