Two possible ways (there are others):
- Put the 48 SIM into the old phone, copy all contacts to the SIM (if they fit), then put the SIM into the new phone and optionally copy the SIM contacts to the phone.
- Backup all contacts on the old phone to your Google account and then sync them back down to the new phone under the same account.

Just to add to the above:
You can also export your contacts to a file in your contacts app. Hit menu and then export to a file. Move the file to your new phone via email, computer or sd card and import from the new phone using the same menu.
