When I try to sync my iPhone (with 48 sim attached) with iTunes, it says that it is not a supported network. How do I fix that?

Is the SIM registered?

Did you buy membership?
You may have to log a support request to see if 48 support can help you out so.

Hope this helps.

Is your phone unlocked for use with any network?
If not then you need to get it unlocked first.

If it is then make sure that you have a small amount of credit on your account (about €1 should do) separate from your normal membership as activation via an iTunes sync may require the phone to send a couple of texts that are not included in the normal membership/add-on text bundle.
Hope this helps.

Yeah it's unlocked. I just topped it up with €2 just in case €1 wasn't enough and I still get the same message off iTunes.
