Hi lads i lost my iphone recently and claimed a new 1 off insurance..unfortunatly my 48 sim card wont work in it. they have given me three unlocked replacement phones i have tried vodafone, o2 and 3 sim cards in them. All work fine but when i put in my 48 sim card the phone the iPhone says it has to be activated with a recognised sim card and will not work for me. Have ye got any insight on this or how can i fix it?

Are you sure there are no software or network updates for the phone. Check using iTunes.

Just checked on iTunes it says the iPhone software is up to date. Still Waiting on 48 to get back to me!

OK - I'm stumped. Maybe 48 can advise. Maybe another SIM might magically work. Sorry I can't think of anything else right now... 😞

Try turning off the PIN on the SIM. On a phone that your 48 sim works, go into the settings and turn off the password protection on the SIM. This might work, heard of it working on apple's website, worth a try.
