Some ideas for new feature/enhancements - maybe others would like to add their own to this thread?
And yes - I know that some new features might be cost prohibitive...

What I would love is a better way of dealing with 1890 numbers.
I get your frustration. Did you have any ideas in mind on better ways of dealing with these? We're always looking for different ways of doing things so anything that comes to mind, pop it in and I'll forward to 48.
And dalyer, thanks for the link, very useful. 🙂

Make them 50c per call like 1850 and not 50c per min?

I've edited the first post again to add a few more issues that I have noticed...

Unfortunately I realise that 48 has no power in this sector and cannot change the costs associated with 1890 numbers.
However what about if 48 took an interest in or joined with "http://www.saynoto1890.com/" ?
Then you could build a far more comprehensive and usable database of alternative numbers, and bring it into the 48 web site and app tent .... This would also help push companies to abandon this profiteering tool.

@Anon Spot on! With the recent website changes we have now added a link to the www.saynoto1890.com on the Other call charges page of our site.

Marion - I hope that 48 might look at getting involved even more with them. Maybe working with them (whoever they are) to improve the size of their database. At the moment it seems to rely on the public offering alternative numbers. And from the content of the site it looks like it has been more or less abandoned in 2013 as regards updates to the database.

I can't see how the companies who use these numbers can be accused of profiteering when it's the mobile operators (e.g. 48) who are charging 50c/min to call these numbers?

I personally cannot fathom how anyone could use 15Gb of internet on their phone. This plan seems extraordinarily good value.
