Aib text topup

Anon
Not applicable
With my old mobile, I used to be able to text 50131 to topup my own and other peoples mobiles through Aib.
I know that 48months aren't on the Aib list of operators, but I still expected to be able to top up other's mobiles by sending and receiving texts to/from this number.
However, when I tried, I got no response from Aib.
Is this a block on the 48 side of things or aib's side?

Also, is there any plans in the future of doing a deal with Aib to be able to use text topup for a 48 mobile?

The problem here is that 48 does not support sending texts to Premium SMS (5XXXX) numbers.

Hope this helps.
