Hi i recently joined the 48 network but my sim wont work in my i phone. My i phone is unlocked to all networks except 48!! Ive done all the restore and restart etc and no luck. Phone says the sim card is not valid. That the sim is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. I followed the advice from the 48 community but to no avail. I am after talking to an apple support service worker that has told me 48 need to do this this is not an apple device problem that it is a 48 network problem. I am 10 days without a phone now and being passed from one person to the next. Please help me out 🙂

Ive already been in contact with them through their live support chat and they tell me ive to 'ring' apple tech support so that they can gather info from my phone while speaking to them?! Then they will b able to depict exactly what the 'problem' is!! I dont know. I'm just becomming increasingly disillusioned by it all to b honest. Mite never get it solved tomorrow and just have to go to another network just to have the use of my phone again!!!

Hang on in there Avril...
Here, Do give them a buzz tomorrow - i would be Amazed if you dont have things up and running shortly after talking with them.
If you type 'iphone Activation issue/iphone invalid sim' on the forum's search bar... well you'll see your not alone!
Im wondering now due to the nature of the purchase...if the handset is registered to the Guy you bought it off???
Anyhow, again post back when you hear whats -what from apple

No prob-will do!! I'm amazed at the enormity of this problem after reading LOADS of posts, that with such a common problem why do people still have this problem?!!

I rang the 1800 number for apple support and got thru to a guy that kept tellin me my i phone was not unlocked even though it is. I kept having to tell him that every other sim card EXCEPT my 48 sim worked in the phone. He didnt seem too interested. I was then transferred to a female who i found out was a senior supervisor. She listened and said to my amazement that she would apply to have the activation lifted off my phone and this would take 24 to 48 hours. This female was the 5th person from apple i had been put through to and finally... RESULT... Well heres hoping!!! 48 hours will be about 2pm tomorrow, so ill know then whether the sim works in the phone, as of right now it still doesnt!
