Why do I have to sign in every time I go to my app?

I am not a newcomer.

I just launched the app, logged in, then terminated the app, launched it again, and I didn't have to log in again. 

Maybe it logs you out after a certain period of time has elapsed or something?

I don't generally use the app, because I can do everything that I need using the web interface, so I don't know if anything has changed in terms of maintaining login sessions.

Maybe it logs you out for security reasons - e.g. so if someone else has access to your phone they can't use your My48 account?

If there has been any change in behaviour recently then maybe it has something to do with this?

I tried my app again today in case the process was now to log the user out at the end of the day or something like that, but I was still logged in and so didn't have to log in afresh.

I'll keep trying to see if/when it logs me out and forces me to log in again. 

I use the Google password manager on my Android phone so logging into apps or sites like this is simple as I don't have to manually remember/enter my login credentials.
