I am not able to make long distance calls from home. or on what's app . Also no wifi coverage when away from home

What do you mean by "long distance" calls?

If you mean international calls then you need cash credit to pay for these:

WhatsApp issues are nothing to do with 48.

When you say "wifi coverage away from home" I presume that you actually mean carrier data?

In that case you need to configure your internet/APN settings to get this working:
