SIM activation, number not ported, can't buy membership

I was never sent text telling me that my SIM is activated. I can't buy plan because card payment needs onetime security passcode to be sent via text. But SIM isn't activated....?

You don't get any text as part of the SIM activation process:

Are you referring to the number porting security text messages perhaps?

That gets sent to your number when it's still with the old provider so you need the old provider's SIM in your phone and working in order to receive it.

What happens when you log into your My48 account and try to buy a membership plan?

Is your number listed on the account or is it the new/default 089 number that came with the SIM?

I suspect that your SIM is actually activated but you need to port your number over from your old provider to 48 first.
