Buying a new phone

Can anyone help my network says Tesco mobile but could I go and buy a tesco mobile phone and use my 48 sim with it our do i need it unlocked. Cheers

You can only use an unlocked phone on 48.

Tesco phones are most likely locked to their network so will not work without being unlocked.

Sometimes phones' software misidentify 48 as Tesco Mobile but that doesn't mean that a phone locked to the Tesco Mobile network will work on 48. It won't.
