I received my card. Last night I activated it by porting my new number, but they assigned me a new one. My current carrier has rejected the port due to account number issues.
With my current carrier, payment is made by direct debit to a credit card. 48.ie doesn't allow me to enter a card number, only an account number.
I need you to port my old phone number, not a new one.
The current payment information I have on my 48.ie account is the same as the one I have on my eir account.
I NEED AN ASAP SOLUTION, please!

You'll probably take to contact 48 and/or eir support about this.
If Eir rejected the porting request then you must have entered the wrong details.
You'll have to check with them what the correct details should be.

I think I did not enter my customer number correctly the first time, I have now entered it correctly, but I do not receive the verification code message from 48.ie.

Are you sure that you have your eir SIM installed in the phone and the ability to receive texts on your eir account?
If your old network SIM has no service or you can't receive the security code SMS, then you will need to make contact with your old provider as they will have visibility of your old account.
