Slow delivery of messages

Hi there. I recently had my boyfriend change over to 48 from Vodafone as I found it do good. Since he moved over we’ve really noticed that our messages through WhatsApp are very slow to deliver. This was never the case before. Is there anything we can do to rectify this. Thanks, Katie

Do both of you have carrier data working correctly?
Could it be that one or both of you don't and WhatsApp messages are only delivered when either or both of you are in range of a wifi connection?

You need to configure your internet/APN settings and then check that carrier data is working - e.g. by trying to connect to the internet when NOT connected to a wifi network.
Follow these instructions to configure your settings

I’m uding an iPhone but my boyfriend is using a Samsung s8? He recently switched from iPhone so that may also be causing a prob. How should he configure the settings? Thanks Katie

APN settings are in different places depending on the phone and version of android.

If not then he needs to refer to the instructions for his phone.
