Hello,

I’ve recently activated my SIM with 48 Mobile and I can see that I have the 1GB free allowance available (valid for several days). However, mobile data is not working at all.

Here is my situation:

- The phone connects to the network (4G signal is visible)
- APN settings are configured correctly (48months.liffeytelecom.com)
- I have not purchased a plan yet, but I do see the 1GB free data in my account
- Data usage remains at 0.00 GB, as if the connection is not being established

Could you please clarify:

1. Is a top-up or active membership required before the free 1GB data can be used?
2. Does the SIM need any additional activation on your side?
3. Are there any specific steps I need to follow to enable mobile data?

I would appreciate your help, as everything appears to be set up correctly on my device, but data is still not working.

The free Introductory 1GB of 4G data should work without buying a membership plan as long as your phone is unlocked for use on any network, you have a connection to the 48 network (i.e. signal bars), and your APN settings are configured correctly.

Can you receive calls and texts? 

(You won't be able to make calls/send texts until you buy a membership plan).

Thanks, everything is working except the internet — I can send and receive SMS, but there’s no data connection. I’ll contact customer support.

I don't see how you can send texts if you haven't yet bought a membership plan...
