48 SIM problems in GL-X2000 router

Hi!
I have a GL-x2000 SIM router and I have a lot of problems with the SIM. The internet is not stable and all the time fall down.
Also I change multiple times the APN because it changes to tesco APN.
This router has 2 spots for sim so I put another and that SIM is working perfect. But I want my 48 SIM as the main one.
In addition, I checked the router and some error says that my SIM card doesn't allow the protocol ipv6... But is not even on!!!
I don't have nothing plug in by cat 6.
I'm trying everything but I don't know what the issue could be, in my mobile phone the SIM was working perfect.

48 SIMs definitely work ok in 4G/5G routers that are unlocked for use on any network.

I've successfully used them myself in several 4G routers.

Your issues sound like they could be down to your router or configuration rather than the SIM.

Some devices may show the wrong network name (e.g. Tesco instead of 48) even if the APN settings are correct.

This is not a functional problem, just a display issue because some devices misidentify some virtual networks.

You obviously need to ensure that the APN settings are correct:

What exactly does this mean?

  • The internet is not stable and all the time fall down.

And this?

  • This router has 2 spots for sim so I put another and that SIM is working perfect. But I want my 48 SIM as the main one.

You mean that it's a dual SIM router?

And the 48 SIM works in the second SIM slot but not the first?

If that's the case then it sounds like a router or configuration issue.

Does any other provider's SIM work ok in the first slot?

What difference does it make which slot is used?

Again, this sounds like a router/configuration issue rather than a 48 SIM issue:

  • I checked the router and some error says that my SIM card doesn't allow the protocol ipv6... But is not even on!!!

i don't understand what you mean by this?

  • I don't have nothing plug in by cat 6.

Cat 6 and IPv6 are completely separate things just in case you're confusing them?

Maybe this explains the IPv6 issue?

I think that you probably need to read the router configuration manual carefully, make sure that the router and the 48 APN settings are configured correctly, and maybe consult the manufacturer or their customer support or a support forum to better understand the issues that you're experiencing.

Are you sure that you have the correct region version of the device?

What firmware is installed on the device?

Do you have the latest stable firmware update installed?

There's also a later beta firmware update available:

If you do need to contact 48 support about this then see the links in my signature below.

But I doubt that they're going to be able to offer specific advice on this particular router.

Hi!
Sorry my English is not good.
I changed the APN but the internet is still not working properly. Maybe is working for few hours.
Yes, the router is dual SIM.

This is what the router tell me:

In the other spot I have another SIM which works perfect.

You never clarified if you're using the latest stable or beta firmware.

The IPv6 issue is explained in one of the links that I posted.

They provide a workaround for now and say that they will be providing updated firmware later.

You should try the workaround for now.

Other than the IPv6 issue I'm not exactly sure what you're referring to in the log output that you posted.

I have no idea what stuff like "call end reason ..." and "session more than 5, clean the last inactive" etc. means for example.

You'll probably need to take these issues up with the router manufacturer as there seem to be quirks with this router and the available firmware particularly when certain SIMs are used - e.g. EE and, it seems, 48.

Hi!
I update the latest firmware and I have the same problem.
I changed the SIM into the another slot but happen the same thing.
I will try with another SIM card and I will check if the problem is the router.

Even with the latest firmware you still need to use the workaround for the IPv6 issue if that's still causing problems.

They haven't fixed that in firmware for your device model.
