Android 7.0 Update for Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017)

Hi, I was just wondering if anyones Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) version has updated to Android 7.0? I know of some peoples phones who have but they are with a different network and seemingly it's the network provider who rolls out the updates.

Multimedia message

Hey asking for a friend. When she types a text message if it is a bit long it gets converted into a multimedia message, why is this? Can it be changed by a setting? Thanks
