Messenger not working

My text credit has run out and Messenger won't work even with Internet,is this normal?

Need a smaller nano sim

I currently have 4s but am moving to iPhone 5 which is a smaller sim, so I need to order a new/replacement sim. How do I do This without changing my number or account details please
