I got the OnePlus 3t from an iPhone 4, do I need to have a nano SIM? And if so how do I get one from 48?

Paid for add on to text and call and too much money was charged..and gave me more text and calls than I wanted??

Resolved! New phone and can't text or phone

Hi,  I bought a new sim free phone and put my old sim card in it but it won't allow me to phone or text.  The message says, No Sim or Sim Error.  Can anyone help me please.  Thanks
