I can’t set up voicemail on my iPhone XR the voicemail button just says error when pressed anyone help? Please?

Did you try this?

I don't know anything about iPhone voicemail but note what it says here:

"Note: Voicemail, Visual Voicemail, and Voicemail transcription are available from select carriers in select countries or regions."
