Can you make/receive calls?
Do you have an active membership?
Do you have any text allowance left (although even if used up that should not prevent you from receiving texts)?
Does it fail with only specific numbers or with all numbers?

Yes I can do everything except send and receive texts,I dont send a lot of texts but I have a Guido membership (all texts) on a direct debit automatic renewal every month, I have not been able to send any texts to any numbers that I have tried.

Were you ever able to send/receive texts?
Is your SMSC number correctly configured - normally should be...

cant send/receive texts or calls for last 5hours.
Checked smssc and its correct.mis network down.

Nothing changed. Very intermittent signals. Heard my brother, also 48 in county Galway has problems as well. I'm in Galway city. Tried webchat support but system won't let me type in any text to agent. Really frustrated and have journey to go now so won't have reliable coverage for two days.....what 😞

So it's not just a text send/receive issue - it's a question of not having a reliable signal at all?
