Roaming in Thailand

I need to receive voice messages, calls I suppose but I'm in Thailand. I can get texts ok but what about calls? I do not need to call out.

48 don't support roaming anywhere other than EU/Europe, North America and Oceania (NZ/Oz).

If you are getting texts then you must be getting them over something other than a local carrier network - e.g. via wifi etc.
