Was it always like this from the start?
Or did the problem just start recently?
What do you mean "keeps cutting out"? No service/bars at all?
Have you tried switching off, taking the SIM out, gently cleaning the SIM contacts, reinserting/re-seating the SIM, switching on again and manually searching for/connecting to 48 (or 3 if 48 still not listed)?
Maybe the SIM is faulty and a replacement might help?

Internet data will not work until you configure your internet/APN settings - see here but obviously getting the signal issue sorted is the first priority:

I'd say your best bet is to get onto support as I suggested above.
